second goal, when Itis shot from close
in slid under harness's stick. During
this. imritid Harness in the Exeter net
made some fine saves while his team
was playing .shorthanded. During the
third period Burnside ,scored the
final counter when he went through
aipne. During this 'period Exeter
• missed many -chances and only hard
lucl: kept them from scoring a coup-
le of times. Burnside was the best
man • for the winners, while the
whole Exeter team played good.

ton Juniors defeated the Exeter Jun-
iors on the former's'ice by the 'score
.of 3 to 1. By virtue of this win the
two teams are tied for the group:

composed of teams from Goderick,
Clinton, Seaforth and Exeter, who
are competing for a cup .offered by
Father Sullivan of Clinton. Exeter
defeated Goderich by 4 to 2 on Wed.,
nesdey evening of last week,, The
game was fast and clean, there being
only 'twos penalties. The goals scor-
ed for Exeter: Cochrane 1, Pryde 3;
for Gbderich; Doak' 1, Warnock I,
The game was handled very satisfac-

The Huron County Presbyterial
Women's Missionary Society of the
Presbyterian Church .net in the;Freie-
byterian church, Clinton, on Tuesday
last: There was a good attendance
of delegates ...from the various
churches comprising the Huron Pres-
bytery. The Young -Women's Au74it-
iary of the local church served' dinner*
in the church basement.
'The session opened at 1.30 p.m
with the president Mrs. Greig of Sea,
forth in. the chair. In opening
meeting the ;president" ex pressed

desire that each one present wouldq
receive a greater benefit 'from° tbe.

contained in the reports. Devotional:
exercises were conducted'by. the Exe-
ter Auxiliary. Mrs. Rhodes .giving,
the bible reading and Miss Jeekell
offering prayer. The reports were
given by the differerit secretaries: all 1
showing that the • work is ever ins
creasing. The Huron Presbytery is
proud to be represented in the Pro-
vincial Board by Mrs. Redditt, 'of
Goderich as general interest secre-
tary. Mrs.. McEwen, literature sec-
retary, requested that a little time
be set aside at, the Presbyterial meet-
ing for the displaying of literature.
An appeal liras made to all members
to subscribe to the Glad Tidings. The
president reminded the members that
Huron Presbytery has another mis-
sionary this year, Miss hazel McDon-
ald; of Goderich, who has gone to
Ponce Coupe, as a missionary.
The treasurer, Mrs..Swan Smitb
of .Seaforth, gave a woriderful finan-
cial report showing a, t ocided in-
crease the amount being raised being
$3,840, an increase of,over ;$500 over
the previous year. Special mention
she said should be given to the Gris-
hem Circle, the 'Young Women's.'So-
ciety in Goderich which raised the
very creditable:sum of $1,000. Mrs.
Rennie and Mrs, Dunlop were .ap-
pointed delegates to the Provincial
meeting in Windsor in April. Mrs.
Dunlop in a few well chosen words
expressed the feeling of the Society
in their appreciation of Mrs, Greig's
three years offaithful service as
president of the Huron Presbyterian
Presbyterial W.M.S. Mrs, Greig made
a fitting reply. Mrs. MCDermid of
Goderich took the chair and called
for nominations, for tare various of-
ficers.
