Wethey, principal of the Exeter High School, was the lucky winner of a nice.Chrdstmas cake from Grant’s bakery the result df register­ ing the closet guess on a large loaf of bread which was oh exhibition for some time before Christinas. There were over 300 guesses. Mr. Wethey's guess was 8 lbs. 10%oz. he being just a, fraction of an ounce out/ Mrs. Dr?c. H. Burrett, Mitchell, died recently after an illness of over a years duration. Mr. Tyler had beenf in poor health for a little over two1* weeks. Au operation was perfonne®. for some inward trouble but he fail­ ed to' recover in his weakened con­ dition. In 1911 he married Miss Alina C. Smith and after farming fop several years they moved t<? St<- iM’arys two years ago. Richard Smith of, Bayfield, died Monday afternoon of last week. The deceased was carrier for two mail' routes running out of Bayfield but for the past year had not' been doing the work owing to illness. He was- in his 67th year.
