Mr. Marvin Howey, of Aylmer, spent the week-end under the par­ ental roof. Mr. Chas. Birney, who has been ill for some time, is at present suf­ fering form pneumonia. His son, Mr. Wm. J. Birney, of Toronto, has been here for several days. Dr. J. E. Thomson, who lias been with the Ontario Department of Mines at Emo, Ontario, for the sum­ mer visited with his parents Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Thomson for a few days last week. He left here for Toronto. On Monday evening the Y. P. Guild of Caven Presbyterian Church visited the County Home. Th&re was a good program and everyone had an enjoyable time. The usual treat of candy and oranges were given to the inmates. The funeral of 'Mabel O’Del, wife of J. D. Sanders was held from the home of her son-in-law, Newton G. Brown, Corunna, on Saturday last.
