Jewell have re turned to their homo arter spending the winter in London and Mount Brydges. Mr. W. A, Turnbull was able- to be down town Thursday last for the first time since his accident early in the year. Miss M. E. Ross, of the Exeter H. S. staff was indispoed one day week and her place was taken Mr. Eugene Howey, Misses Hannah ’and Jennie Mc Donald and Miss Lucy Harwood, of London, spent the week-end Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Pollen. Rev. J. H. Stainton and Mr. Gladman, of Toronto, were in ham Sunday taking the services for Rev. R. E. Southcott. (Mr. Moses Bechler left Tuesday for Manson, Iowa, where he was called owing to the severe illness of his mother, Mrs. Joel Bechler. IMr. and Mrs. Wm. Dignan, Lucan, and Mr. and Mrs. Rcbt. Bilyea, and two children, of London, visited with relatives in Exeter on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Ferguson and daughter Edna and Miss Ila West cott, of Toronto, motored up last week and ©pent a couple of days with IMr. and Mrs. Rd. Coates. Miss Doris Mary Senior, of Toron to, is visiting her grandparents IMr. and Mrs. J. Senior. Miss Blanche Senior entertained a number of girl friends Friday evening in honor of her niece. Mrs. E. Treble received word last week of the death of her brother- in-law, Mr. James H. Morey, of the Morey Coal and Coke Co., who pass ed away at his residence, 95 Hallam St., Toronto, at the age of 75 years. The deceased is survived by his wi dow whose maiden name was Mary Loadman, also by one son and daughter. The family were at time residents of Winnipeg and Huron. About fifteen persons were present and the even ing was pleasantly spent in music and games. Their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mar shall, of Kippen, played several vio lin selections with piano accompani ment. Following a social hour lunch was served by the ladies. Mrs. Northcott’s maiden name was Miss Nellie O’Brien, daughter of the late Wm. O’Brien, of Hay. Mr. and Mrs. Northcott were residents of Sex smith before moving to Exeter.
