The doctor was a form­ er pastor here of the Methodist Church and their many friends were glad to see them. The Hensall Orange Lodge cele­ brated the 12th of July at Brussels Quite a large crowd from here at­ tended and spent the day and even­ ing with them in Brussels. On Fri­ day 'and Monday evenings they hold on outside practise with the fife and drum attracting quite a crowd. Mrs. Agur, Hensall’s grand old lady will this month celebrate her 102 birthday. She is remarkably active for one of her age and her many friends here hope that she will continue her good health. We be­ lieve that Mrs. Agnr is the oldest person in Huron County. On Friaay evening the Hensall and New Hamburg teams played an­ other of the schedules games at New Hamburg, Hensall winning 7 to 0 The umpires were O’Brien of Zurich and Gulbert, of New Hamburg. Mrs. Eifert wife of the late Rev R, Eifert well known to many of this community passed away at her home in Detroit after an illness of about two weeks in her 71st year. Funeral services were conducted at the home in Detroit and at the Lutheran church at Tavistock where interment took place with Rev. F. G. Brasch officiating. Her husband prede­ ceased her about six months ago Among those who attended the fun­ eral were Mr.' and Mrs. Jacob Schroeder, Mrs. T. Restemeyer, Mrs, O. Miller and Mr. Gustave Miller. Mrs. Gaiser Buried Wilhemina Guenther Gaiser, whe Was buried on Friday afternoon was a daughter of the late pioneer Matthew Guenther, of Stephen Twp born in 185 6. She married Gott­ fried Gaiser, of Crediton, in .1875 He predeceased her two years ago Survivors are three daughters, Mrs Aaron Brown, of Blenheim; Mrs Frank Goff, of Bright and Viola, at home and three sons, Israel at home Solomon in Saskatchewan and Mos­ es in Kitchener. Matthew Guenther of Kitchener is a brother, and Mrs Wein, of Detroit, and Mrs. Suhr, of London are sisters. Rev. M. Sippell officiated. The pall bearers were William Gaiser, John Gaiser, George Eilber, Albert Fahrner, Harry Fahr- ner and Ezra Faist. Interment made in Crediton Cemetery. Kuhn. GREENWAY Mrs, Ave., The July meeting of the W. M. S. was held in the basement of the church, Wednesday afternoon last, with the president in the chair. The meeting was opened in the usual way with a hymn and prayer. The minutes of the last meeting was read and approved, the roll was call­ ed and responded to by a verse of scripture. Business was transacted and it was decided to try and secure a missionary speaker to give an ad­ dress during the absence of our pas­ tor on vacation. Mrs. Dr. Morphy, took the scripture lesson on temper­ ance. Mrs. Wilbur Wynn gave a reading on, “Ruth, the Woman of Decision’’ and Miss Nina McNaugh­ ton then favored us with a beautiful solo. Mrs. John Cann gave a talk on the Study Book and made it quite interesting. The (meeting closed with a hymn and the benediction. The chair was then taken by vthe president of the Women’s .Associa­ tion and a short business meeting was carried out. During this meet­ ing it was decided to do some dec­ orating and repairing at the par­ sonage. Miss Louise Hackney, of Thames Road, is visiting for a few days with her sister Mrs. Ben Wilson.
