The ladies pro­ vided lavishly to satisfy the most fastidious appetite. Th© Huronia Male Concert Company rendered a splendid program of great variety which the large audience fully ap­ preciated. This was t’neir first ap­ pearance in this vicinity and those Who1 heard them were. more than pleased with their numbers. Haying operations are well under way with a good crop. Hoeing is also a pushing job at present the rains having been a good boost for the weeds as well as other things. The Live Oak Mission Circle met at the home of Laura Ford on Thursday afternoon last with nine members present. Miss Margaret Johns presided over the meeting which opened with hymn 30 and the Lord’s Prayer was repeated in uni­ son. Miss Lavona Cooper read the Devotional Leaflet “The Woman of Quiet.” The minutes of the last meeting were read by the secretary and adopted. Some business was dealt with and then roll call was re­ sponded to by a scripture verse on “Strength.” Hymn 120 was sung Miss Marjorie Delbridge led in pray­ er. An article “Prayer” was read by Miss Margaret Johns; Miss Blossom Wright read a piece on “Korea”; a reading “The Old and the New” was read by Mrs. Ward Hern; “Reveries of a Chapel” was reaa by Miss C Peters; Miss Helen Murch also gave a reading “A High School Girl.” A hymn was then sung and the meeting was closed with the Mizpah benedic­ tion.
