The Huron County Old Age Pen­ sion Board are meeting again this week at Goderich and have a largo 'number of applications to consider. Thi^ is the Board’s fourth meeting since the first of the year and they will not meet again till the first of the year. The June pension checks arrived in the village Monday morn­ ing and were a welcome addition to the income of some of our aged pen­ sioners. Decoration Services were held at Hensall Union Cemetery and McTag- gart’s 'on Sunday afternoon with large crowds attending both services. The services were in charge of the Od-d Fellows, who lined up in front ’of the Town Hall and then drove to »the cemetery. The graves of th.e de­ parted brethren were decorated with flowers and addresses were given by the .Revs. Mr. McIlroy, Rev. Mr. Sin­ clair, Rev. Mr. Bremner, of Bruce- field, Mr. Wm. The weather was all that could be desired and the ladies were kept busy waiting on the large crowd of people who gathered. The tables were well filled with ham, sal­ ads, strawberries and cakes and pies of all kinds. After all had been serv­ ed the crowd gathered in the shed where a fine program 'was given by H. Mr. and Mrs. Baynham and son, Douglas, of Toronto, are holidaying with the former's parents Mr. Mrs. Geo. Baynham- Sr. Death of Mrs. Win. Ford and After a prolonged illness there passed at her home in Centralia on Tuesday, June 24, 1930, Minnie R. Harrison, beloved wife of Wm. Ford in her 66th year. She was born in Owen Sound, being a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Harris­ on, who with her parents moved to Exeter when ten years of age. The greater part of her life was spent in this vicinity, where she was well- known and most highly respected. Deceased was a member of the Unit­ ed Church of Centralia and was ad­ mired and beloved for her many good qualities as neighbor, friend and citizen. Besides her bereft hus­ band she is survived by three daugh­ ters. Mrs. Mrs. also Mau.; Fred, Usborne and Arnold, of Detroit. She also is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Henry Coultis, Mrs. Arthur Francis and Mrs. Richard Tapp, of Exeter and one brother Dr. J. W. Harrison, of Detroit. The funeral which was largdfy attended was held Thursday last from Centralia United Church. Services were conducted by her pastor Rev. F. Irwin, assist­ ed by Rev. D. McTavish. Mrs. King was the recipient of a beautiful bas- .ket - of flowers. Dr. A. E. Craven, a grandson, of Toronto, was chair­ man of the happy event,' which clos­ ed with the singing of “Go'd be with you till we meet again.” • About seventy relatives wereKpres­ ent, including Mrs. Thomas Devitt, a daughter of Saginaw, Mich., Mr. J. Hardy, a son, of London and rela­ tives from Toronto, Oshawa, London, St. Thomas, Detroit a-nd surrounding district. (Mr. Hardy has eighteen, grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, most of whom were present to- offer, him .congratulations.
