Our donations in­ cluded the Santa Claus fund. Agri­ cultural Short Courses, treats for the inmates of the County Home, Clin­ ton: $10.00 to a boy who lost liis leg in an accident. The flowei* committee remembered several friends and members with flowers during the year. The total receipts amounted to $355.44 and the expenses $242.90 leaving ;a balance on hand of $112. 54. Oke, of Usborne, was the scene of a pretty wedding, at' two o’clock OU] Saturday, when their eldest daughter' Verna M, was united in marriage to Valentine L, Becker son of Mr. Mrs. Henry Becker of Hay. The ceremony was performed Rev. J. B. Rhodes, of Exeter, in presence of about forty guests and the bride was charming in a wedding gown of beige georgette with hose and shoes to match, bouquet of roses and ley. The bridesmaid, Rowcliffe of Clinton, bride, wore a yellow georgette dress and carried a bouquet of roses and lily-of-the-valley. The groom was attended by his brother Edmund G. Becker. The bride was given away in marriage by her father and took her place in front of a bank of ferns and flowers to the strains of Lohen­ grin wedding march, played by Miss Beta Oke, cousin of the bride who wore a nile silk celanese dress. Following the ceremony the guests retired to the dining-room, where a' sumptuous wedding supper was ser­ ved, the color scheme being pink and white. The waitresses were cousins and aunts of the bride. The bride, was the recipient of many beautiful and costly gifts. The groom’s gift to the bride was a cab­ inet of silver; to the bridesmaid and pianist a silver compact; to the groomsman a tie-pin.
