Mr. Fowlie was well known by all resi­ dents of Bayfield and surrounding country as he carried on a success-, ful blacksmithing business until some eight or nine years ago, when he retired from active work. He is survived by two brothers and sister. The death occurred in Seaforth of Mr. Adam MacKay. The deceased had been in failing health for the past three years and at times was an intense sufferer. Mr. McKay was born in Zorra Township 68 years ago and about 3 8 years ago he came to Seaforth where he has since resided, lie' was an expert engineer and for the past 18 years had been superin­ tendent of the town.
