Fool’s Day.
Citizens in this community receiv
ed a rude jolt when they awakened
Monday morning to find that about
ten inches of snow had fallen dur
ing the night and in some places
around town fairly large drifts were
piled up. The snow began to fall
■shortly after midnight and must
have come down very heavy at times
in order to cover the ground as it
did. Autos were stalled in the
snow Monday morning and had to
.be helped out. The .snow was soft
and made exceptionally .good sleigh
ing on some of the roads. A sleet
storm Tuesday made the walking
very disagreeable. A, heavy fall of
snow Tuesday night covered the
trees and wires presenting a beauti
ful sight, Winter is dying hard.
A friend may he often found and

he cannot be lost.
