Street Commissioner Bissett has had a gang of men opening up some of the drains in town to relieve the water that had gathered in a num­ ber of cellars. Mr. W. J. Mr. Logan Craig, publisher of the Wingham Advance-Times is serious­ ly ill at his home and his condition is causing anxiety. We hope to hear of Brother Craig’s early improve­ ment. The Heifkall public school hockey team played a game with the Exeter bdys at the Dome Rink on Saturday to play off a tie. Exeter won by the score of 2-1. The ice was none too good. Mrs. E. jory, an. aged lady, of Ex­ eter, had the misfortune to fail on Friday last while crossing the kit­ chen floor dislocating her right arm at the shoujder. It was set by Dr. Fletcher, Mr. and Mrs, J, G. Ihglis, (nee Miss M< G. Bayne) formerly a teach­ er on the Exeter High School staff, visited in town on -Thursday last, Hensall Seniors will play an ex­ hibition game of hockey with Exeter Seniors on Friday night. The Exeter Women’s Institute held a pancake social in tlje Oddfellows Block on Tuesday evening. The la­ dies provided a splendid, supper which was fairly well patronized. Dr. and Mrs. Ferguson, of Pon­ tiac, Mich,, motored over and visited for a couple of days last week in town. They brought'with them Mrs. C.' B. Snell who has been visiting with her brother since the death of the late Mr. Snell. Mrs. Fred Mitchell, of Toronto, is visiting at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. F. Hogarth.
