The Reeve addressed the council 'extending a welcome to the new members and congratulating all. on their election. He, asked for the ap­ pointment of two members to act as a Striking committee. H. Savage, of Pontiac, Mich., was unable to ar­ rive in Exeter to give his lecture in. the Main St, Church. Mr. Savage motored to Lucan from London and finding that the highway was block­ ed between Lucan and Exeter tele­ phoned up that he would be unable to be’ present. Main Street church, and many others who were desirous of hearing Mr. Savage, were disap-; pointed. There were several who drove into Exeter from a distance of about stand miles to hear this radio preacher. A snort ’ ranged. Mr. McTavish made a ■and a short appreciated address, was delivered by Mr. Irwin, of Centralia. Mr. Irwin had come up by train and was intending to walk back after the concert; however he was driven to his- home.
