YOUNG PEOPLES' CON\'ENTION
The fifth annual convention of the
Y.P.S. of Huron Presbytery held in
the Brucefielcl United church on Fri-
day September 27th proved both
practical and inspiring. The devo-
tional .periods were splendidly con-
ducted by Y. P. •Societies of Walton,
Janes St., Exeter and Kippen. Rev.
J. M. Coiling, of Grand Bend very
ably conducted the discussion on the
committee reports. Parallel discus-
sion groups were profitably led by
Rev. G. Butt, of Victoria St., Gode-
rich; Rev. G. Weir, St. Andrew's of
Blyth; Rev. W. P. Lane, of Seaforth
and Rev. R. B. Cumming, of Ben -
miller. Enjoyable sing -songs were
conducted by Rev. H. G. Whitfield,
of St. Helens and Rev,. R. B. Cum-
mings. Rev. C. D. Daniels the spec-
ial speaker was splendidly inspiring.
He challenged youth to live up to
their best, to give themselves wholly
to Christ and to help bring His
kingdom among men, by making use
of pl'esent opportunities of service
to the Master.
