COMMUNITY LOVE
Lazin.ess, indolence, idleness and stupor are unnatural con-
ditions to exist in a community and are looked upon as repellant by
all right-minded residents. Action is the staff of existence. The
respected individual is the one who is always going; the one who
is full of pep, the nian, who rises early and retires late. Nothing is
more contrary to right living that the sense of community inaction.
Community love is the only right law of community activity.
Hatred, jealousy or lack of confidence in your neighbor destroys
the good results of community endeavor and instead of making for
the advance of the town retires that progress.
You cannot achieve where your community pride is lost. You
must have faith in your town; confidence in your merchant and love
for your neighbor. United endeavour is nesseccary to success.
Faith is the foundation upon which the whole structure of your
community is.built, without it your achievements are of no avail.
The man who buys his goods outside Exeter has no community
love, if he does this buying knowing the damage he is doing. He
•exemplifies • a distrust in the •community and its merchants. He
lacks neighborly love.Show your faith by patronizing your home
merchants and your merchants will show his faith in you by giving
you the hest service that he can.

MISS M. ARMSTRONG, Milliner
At certain seasons of the year there is one line of business that
makes its appeal to the fair sex and that is the millinery business..
Always there is the desire to look one's best and it finds expression
in the donning of a new hat. One can be young, or worldly, or
daring, or picturesque or pretty, or chic, or almost anything one
likes Simply by the hat they choose. The feminine mind worships
a model that is exclusive to ter. This season's hats are most strik-
ing. Miss. Armstrong, who for a number of years has catered to
the ladies of this community, has a keen desire to present hats that
are new and different; styles that are smart and charming -fashion's
newest note. Her show -room displays a wide and diversified range;
of colors and styles, with small blacks and brown leading; also
greens, blues and dahlia shades. They are made up in felts, velvets,
and combination effects. No one need go to the larger centres
where they are sure. to pay more and not get any better than Miss
Armstrong has on display.
