PRESERVE YOUR RESOURCES The person who spends the money which he earns in his own town outside his community is helping to exhaust his own re- sources, in the same manner in which a. pian who indulges in. dis- sipation exhausts his physical resources by expending his energy faster than the body builds it up. When a dozen residents or more do their buying outside Exeter they reduce the economic strength of the community to a noticeable extent, and when a hundred or more residents do so, the situation becomes alarming, and the ultimate collapse of the community is inevitable. Its merchants will be forced. to retire from business through the losses they incur, public institutions will fall into disre- pair through lack of care, and soon the population will begin to fall off, as people move to a more prosperous community. The ultimate end will he ruin for the community and its residents. Guard against this condition in Exeter. The failure of one merchant means little, but the success o•f the majority of the mer_ chants spells progress for the community 'and its residents. The Merchant is the backbone of the community. Individually, per- haps, there are a few who are not boosters of Exeter but collective- ly they are the men upon whom you should depend and give your support. Be individual bankers. Build up your resources through community buying, :•moo SANDY ELLIOT USED CARS F`/'` RD NEW CARS WE SPECIALIZE ON FORD SERVICE TELEPHONE G1. HARVEY BR -OS. .Harvey Bros. In 1921 a receiving separator was installed for cleaning the ,grain as received into the mill at a cost of $2000. The office was then changed to its present location.
