P.A. of Trivitt Memorial church on Thursday evening of last week the opportunity was taken to present the president, Mr. Harry West, with a splendidly worded address and a gold ring with the Mr. West acted as evening. Rev. S, E M.C., of London, gave a splendid address on St. Fat- rick. Following the address a solo was sung by Mr. Win, Davis after which Miss Marion Bissett was call­ ed on for a reading which proved to be an address to Mr.’ West who was completely taken by surprise. The presentation of the ring was made by Mr. Hy. Jennings, Sr. The re­ cipient, who left Monday to take a position with the Sarnia Hardware Co., made a feeling reply. Refresh­ ments were served and a jolly time was spent. The following evening, Friday, a surprise was held for Mr, West at his home when about twenty-five young people gathered for a social evening, a very happy time being spent in games and amusements. During the course of the evening Mr. West was presented with a beautiful Parker pen and pencil set, the address being read by Mr. Leon­ ard Pfaff and the presentation being made West and were employed for a number of years in Mr. G. A.. Hawkin’s store and has made many friends both among the younger set and the residents throughout the community. The best wishes of all will follow him to his new position.
