Will Live at Kippen
MR. AND MRS. L. DOUGLAS MANN were
married on Saturday, December 16, in St. Andrew's
United Church, Kippen by the Rev. A. H. Johnston.
The bride is Kathryn Elizabeth, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. John Anderson, RR 2, Hensall and the
groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mann, Clin-
ton. The young-couple will live at Kippen.

secretary, who reported bales
sent to Toronto and to Cape
Crocker.
Mrs. Harry Roney sang un-
accompanied, a number of
Christmas carols,
The society has 47 members,
and there are 22 associate help-
ers.
Mrs. Beattie's ,group was in
charge of the worship service.
The carol, "As with Gladness,
Men of Old" was sung. Mrs. P.
Livermore read the scripture
and Mrs. L. Jervis led in pray-
er, Mrs. Beattie read, "Are
We Ready for Christmas?"
Mrs. C. Park told a Christmas
story and Miss E. Jamieson
read a story from the study
book. A delicious Christmas
lutich was served.

Yuletide Meeting
Mrs, Mervyn Batitin And
Miss Dorothy Marquis led in
the devotions on. the Christmas
story held Thursday evening,
December 14, by the Hearth-
side Club of Ontario Street
United, Church,
Mrs, Roy Wheeler was in
charge of the short business
period. White gifts for the Fred
Victor Mission which had been
placed under the tree, were de-
dicated by Mrs. Grant Mills.
Mrs. Harold Black and Mrs,
Ross. Merrill were in charge of
the creltinole party which fol-
lowed. High lady was Mrs.
Plaetzer and low, Mrs, Gardin-
er, Delicious lunch was served
to everyone 'by members of the
executive, and a social half hour
followed.

Attend Good Will
Pot Luck Supper
For the final meeting on De-
cember 12, before joining the
United Church Women organi-
zation, 29 members and friends
of the Wesley-Willis Good Will
Club partook of a delicious
buffet pat-luck supper. The long
tables were attractively decor-
ated in keeping with the Christ-
mas season,
The singing of familiar
carols followed the supper hour,
with Mrs. C. G. Park as ac-
companist. Mrs. H. G. Man-
ning, the president, then con-
ducted the remainder of the
meeting. Mrs. M. Steepe read
Luke 2: 1-19 and also gave a
timely reading, "The Meaning
of Christmas".
The regular and annual re-
ports of treasurer, secretary
and flower convener were read
and adopted. For correspon-
dence, a letter of thanks, from
U.S.C., for generous contribu-
tions received, was read by
Mrs. L. Jervis, Flowers are to
be placed in the church for the
Christmas season. Two comfor-
table swivel chairs have been
donated by the club to supple-
ment vestry furnishings.
Mrs, W. Holland contributed
two pleasing accordion numb-
ers. Mrs. E. H, Epps gave a
much appreciated reading, "The
Songs My Mother Sang to Me".
An •auction of all articles re-
maining in the travel basket
was conducted by Mrs. B. Sut-
ter, who handed the proceeds,
0.1.30, to the treasurer, The
meeting closed with the bene-
diction.

The Turner's United Church
Woman's Association met in
the „church .basement on Wed-
oesday, December 13 with five
members. and one visitor
rent. A quilt was tied, and
used doting brought for a bale
to be sent to the Fred Victor
Mission in Toronto.
The meeting followed with
the as3i-iltant president, Mrs,
Erlin Whitmore in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Mrs,
Gregor McGregor and the topic
taken, by Mrs. William Roger-
son. After the meeting, lunch
was served by Mrs, Howard
Johns.
