December 7, with nine members
and one visitor present. The
secretary's, treasurer's and
flower 'converter's reports were
given.
Roll call answered by an in-

Officers for 1962 were elect-
ed, president, Mrs, Ken John-
ston; viceliresident, Mrs, Elm-
er Dale; treasurer, Mrs,
Holland; secretary, Mrs.
Wilfrid Glazier; flower fend,
Mrs, Elgin Dale; sewing com-
mittee, Mrs. Elmer Dale, Mrs,
Elgin Dale.
Christmas gifts were ex,
chaned. January meeting will
be held at the home of Mrs.
Ken Johnston on January 11
in the afternoon.

Mrs. J. E. Hugill
Mrs, Jonathan Hugill, 69, RR
2, Seaforth, died Monday, De-
cember 11, at her home. She
had been in health for some
time.
Born in Tuckersmith. Town-
ship, the former Martha Gert-
rude Crich, she was a daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Crich, and lived in that area all
her life. Mrs, Hugill was a
member of Northside United
Church.
Mr. and Mrs, Hiigill observed
their golden wedding anniver-
sary in April of this year. Sur-
viving besides her husband are
six sons, Clarence and Elmer,
both of Clinton; Harold, Tuck-
ersmith Township; Arnold and
Clifford, both of Goderich, and
Wesley, Zurich; four daughters,
Mrs, Frank (Pearl) Cummings,
Clinton; Mrs. Arnold (Verna)
Rathwell and Mrs. Gordon
(Mary) Horner, both of Kit-
chener, and Miss Iona, at
home; one brother, Wellington
Crioh, Tuckersmith Township,
25 grandchildren and three
great grandchildren.
Service was from the Ball
and Mutch funeral home, on
Wednesday afternoon, with the
Rev. Clifford Britton of North-
side United Church, Seaforth,
officiating. Burial was in Clin-
ton Cemetery.

Mrs. A. T. Lucas
Mrs, Mary Bertha Lucas, 85
Clinton, died in London on
Friday, December 8. Her hus-
band Alfred T. Lucas, prede-
ceased her on September 4 of
this year.
She was born in Fort Erie,
a daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. William J. Charter and
came to Clinton in 1938.
Surviving are one daughter,
Mrs. Stewart (Annie) Taylor,
Clinton; three sons, William,
Edmonton, Alta., Lorne and
Fred, both of Brantford, and
one sister, Mrs, Al DeGrout,
Fort Erie.
Service from the Beattie
funeral home, Clinton, Tuesday
afternoon, December 12, with
the Rev. C. G. Park, of the
Wesley-Willis United Church, of
which the deceased was a mem-
ber, officiating. Burial in
Mount Hope Cemetery, Brant-
ford.
Anthony F. deJong
Anthony F. deJong, Tucker-
smith Township, died' Monday,
December 11, at the Scott
Memorial Hospital, Seaforth. A
native of Rolland', Mr. deJong
came to the Seaforth area in
1949.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Henclrika Vallebregt;
four sans, George, Goderich;
Gordon, Brucefield; Tony and
William, at home; one sister,
Mrs. C. P. Van Mill, Seaforth,
together with three sisters and
five brothers in Holland.
Funeral arrangements were
in charge of the G. A. Whitney
funeral home, Seaforth. The
body is at the residence, lot 26,
con. 4, Tuckersmith Township.
Requiem high mass will be
Sung Thursday at 11 a.m. in
St. James' Church, Seaforth,
Burial will be in St. James'
cemetery. Prayers were said at
8 p.m. Tuesday.

suggestions will be presented, to

formation of your Coin Club.
The meeting itself will not take
too long, so you will have lots
of time to discuss coin topics
with your fellow members,

Christmas party was held on
Thursday, December 7 with a
good attendance. The prizes
were as follows: ladies high,
Mrs. Rose Nichol; ladies low,
Mrs. L. Ball; men's high, Wes
Hoggant; men's law, J. Batkin,
and a draw for Christmas' cake
was won by Mrs, E. Radford,
Lunch was served by the social
