'MY BANK'
TO MILLION CANADIANS
Who is our
ufilifl rfih
customer ?
A housewife in Hamilton . . . a
youngster in Yarmouth . . . a farmer in
Fruitvale?
Frankly, we'd just be guessing. This
year our total customers soared above
the three-million mark. But which new
customer in our network of 875 branches
was the one between 2,999,999 and
3,000,001, we have no way of knowing.
But we do know our 3-millionth cus-
tomer will probably use the B of M in
many ways ... to save for the things he
wants, to finance his automobile at low
cost, to pay his household bills and to
keep his valuables safe.
If he is a businessman, he might use
Canada's first bank to finance his day-to-
day operations, to pay his employees, to
collect and remit money the world over
... if he is a farmer, "MY BANK" might
be called upon to finance new trucks,
modern barns and labour-saving electri-
cal equipment.
He's very important to us, that 3-
millionth customer. Never before in our
long history have we been privileged to
serve so many. We number with a good
deal of pride those three million expres-
sions of trust from people who call the
Bank of Montreal "MY BANK".

Bandmaster George Wonch
thanks every band member and
majorette, who took part in the
parade, for their fine efforts.
A lot of credit goes to the
drum major, Bob Howard, for
the vast 'improvement in the
last few months in marching,
appearance and deportment.
Without his help, this improve-
ment would not have been pos-
sible.
In the past two weeks the
Band and majorettes have com-
peted with approximately 17
bands and have maintained
their second place standing.
The record to date: 1959 at
Seaforth, no prize; 1960 'at
Seaforth, third; 1961, last at
Waterloo; second at London;
second at Seaforth with high
average and standing.
All members are reminded
that practices start again on
Tuesday everting, December 12

CDC' auditorium on Sunday
evening, December 17. With
examinations over this week
there is no excuse for not hav-
ing 100 percent attendance for
this and other practices' to
maintain this and even a better
high standard.
