New Holes In Use
At Golf course
Local golfers who play at
the Bayfield Clinton Golf
Course are now finding their
scores to be much higher. This
can be accounted for by the :
fact that the course has been
lengthened considerably,
Owner Fred Hulls acquired
some property adjacent to the
erigmal eourse and expanded
the course en this land. By add-
ing three new holes,. dispens-
ing with .one former hole and
combining two others, the
course was lengthened from
2,480 yards. to 3,200 yards.
The second green has been
discarded and the original sec-
ond and third boles combined
to make one 525 yard, par five
hole, The original .eigth hole,
was discarded' and the three
new holes added to make the
present course.
The new additions, as well
as making the course longer,
add to the appearance by their
picturesque setting. Mr. Hulls
reports that the present course
is the layout he had in mind
when he first started the
course a few years ago.
