White gist service at St. And-
rew's United Church was held
on December 18 with a junior
choir from the Sunday School
taking part. Gary Anderson
gave a recitation. Joan Sinclair
and Grant Jones sang a duet
`0 Holy Night".
Gifts of money were pres-
ented by the children of the
Sunday School. Gwenneth Hen-
drick read a Christmas story,
"Sam, Kitchen boy of Bethle-
hem Inn". The junior choir
sang "When they saw the star".
The church had been, tastefully
decorated by Mrs. Emerson
Kyle and Mrs. Edgar McBride.
Concert Held
The annual Christmas con-
cert was held Monday evening,
December 19. The program in-
cluded recitations by Joan
Finkbeiner, Larry Consitt, Deb-
bie Anderson, Gwen Hendrick;
chorusre; piano duet by Grant
and Kenneth Jones; solo by
Diane McKay; instruments
al by Marjorie Tur-
ner; plays; accordion number
by Gwen Hays:; a Rose drill;
quartette by Kenneth and Gr-
ant Jones, Heather Reid and
Joan Sinclair; Jack Frost song
by the boys; pantomine "Points
of the Christmas Star", mono-
logue by Bill McNichol. Santa
Claus distributed candy and
gifts to the children of the
congregation.

Concert Held
The Sunday School of Hol-
mesville United Church held
a Christmas concert in. the
Sunday School rooms, with
the minister, Rev. E. J. Rouls-
ton as chairman. Each Sunday
School teacher was responsible
for two numbers- and after the
chairman's address the begin-
ners class put on a tableau of
the Nativity scene and sang,
"Away in A Manger".
The Junior girls sang two
action songs, "Under the Stars"
and "Frosty, The Snowman".
The Junior boys had a Christ-
mas Roll Call. The intermed-
iate girls sang "Christopher
Robin is Saying His Prayers".
Cathie Potter played several
'accordion selections.
The intermediate boys sang
a cominal song, to the tune of
Jingle Bells. The junior Bible
class put on, a humourous skit,
"The Human Ford". Mrs. Jim
Lobb played as a piano solo,
a medley of Christmas songs
and Mrs. Lloyd Bond gave a
reading.
The intermediate girls and
boys put on a short pageant
"The Little Shepherd" and the
program, closed with a recita-
tion by Leonard Lobb, "Look-
ing For Santa".
Santa arrived and gave oat
the gifts that had been placed
around the beautifully decor-
ated Christtnas tree, The min-
ister closed the evening with
a benediction.
Miss /la Grigg, Mrs, Edward
Grigg and Mrs. Kenneth Tre-
wartha played the piano for
the singing. The teachers are
Mrs. Ninian Heard, Mrs. Harry
Cudmore, Mrs. Jack Yeo, Mrs,
Elmer Potter, Mrs. Frank Me-
Cullough, Mrs. William Nor-
man and Irvine Tehbutt, Car-
