gained two points for Clinton.
The next seven services were
returned to the other team and
several times the ball hit the
low ceiling of the gymnasium.
Barbara Yeo gained two points
before losing the ball to God-
erich. Goderich then gained
ten points. Bonnie Hamilton
gained four points, Barbara
Yeo one point, and Barbara
Ladd two points. Goderich won
the second game 15-11.
In the final game Clinton
began the service. Goderich
won 15-12 to defeat Clinton
in 2 out of 3 games.

There are 30 to 35 members
in the new yearbook club. The
Club is divided into three
groups; the editorial section,
the business section and the
advertising section, Margaret
Merrill is the editor, Sibyl
Castle the advertising manager
and Beverley Beattie the bus,
Mess manager.
Margaret Merrill
The main meeting of the
yearbook club is held in the
guidance office on Tuesdays in
tenth period. Each section
meets by itself throughout the
week. Mr. Hunter supervises
the club meetings.
The students are in the pro-
cess of campaigning for sub-
scriptions. Two pupils from
the club are visiting each room.
Sibyl Castle
The members of the club are
planning a bigger and better
book, much different from last
year's sample. These year-
books which are to be printed
at the end of May by the
News-Record will be sold for
$1.75 each.
These books which are be-
ing published as keepsakes for
the students, are in great de-
mand.

The members, of the adver-
tising section of the yearbook
will soon be canvassing the
downtown merchants for ad-

vertisments in their book. It
is hoped that the merchants
will support the yearbook in
this way.
Mr. A. J. Langdon was born
in Woodstock, Ontario an,d at-
tended public and high school
in St, Thomas. After graduat-
ing from the Ontario Agrlelti-
tural College at Guelph with
a Bachelor of Scientific Agri-
culture degree, Mr, Langdon
attended the College of E,.'dn-
cation • in Toronto where he
studied physical education and
science,
Before coming to Clinton
this year, Mr. Langdon taught
in Rtdgetown, St. Thomas and
at Toronto. At CDCI Mr. Lang-
don teaches physical education
and mathematics. Along with
Mr. Clynick he coached the
football team this fall.
Mr. Langdon enjoys all
types of sport but especially
hunting and fishing.

Conducts Election
Hears Reports
The Woman's Missionary So-
ciety of Ontario Street United
Church held their meeting on
October 8 in the church par-
lour with the president, Mrs.
W. B. Olde presiding. Mrs.
W. M. Aiken was in charge
of the devotional period.
Reports were heard from
various departments. The sup-
ply secretary reporting a re-
quest from presbyterial for
donations toward vacational
school packets; also gifts for
girls, used coats and suit mat-
erial for quilts to be forwarded
to Long Plains, Man. Plans
were made to pack a bale for
the Fred Victor Mission, Tor-
onto on November 22. Mrs.
J. B. Lavis was presented with
a life membership in the Wom-
an's Missionary Society by the
Misses H. and S. Courtice in
appreciation of her work in
the society.
Miss E. Plumsteel read a
poem "The Weaver". Mr. Mills
conducted the election of of-
ficers for 1961. Mrs. H. Ball
presented the Mission Study,
the purpose of her study was
to bring a newer and deeper
awareness of Refugee Year.
Mrs. M. Wiltse and Mrs. R.
Fear reported on ,a recent sec-
tional meeting held at Duff's,
McKillop. Mrs. Olde expressed
her appreciation of all who
assisted with the meeting.

Volleyball Five

Goderich senior girls' volley-
ball team came to Clinton on
Tuesday, November 8, to play
an exhibition game.
Clinton began the game with
Margaret Merrill as first ser-
ver. With her powerful over-
hand serve, Margaret gained
four points, Jean Booth gained
five points, Janet Batkin, one
point, Mary Jean Colquhoun
three points, and Eva Verhoef
two points, making the score
