Mrs. Nelson Robison
(Auburn Correspondent)
Mrs, Nelson Robison passed
away recently at Blackfoot,
Sask., at the age of 63. She
was formerly Ada Elsie Sy-
mon and was born in England.
In 1920 she was married to
Nelson Robison, Auburn, and
moved to Fort Saskatchewan
where her husband' taught sch-
ool. They moved to Blackfoot
in 1927 where they have since
resided.
She is survived by her hus-
band, two daughters, Madge,
Edmonton and Mrs. Swain (El-
sie) Nova Scotia. The funeral
took place from Blackfoot Pr-
esbyterian Church.

The bride was charming in
a floor-length white nylon dress
trimmed with French lace, with
pearl and sequin trim at the
neckline and long pointed sle-
eves. Her flowers were red
roses and she wore a pearl
necklace, the gift of the groom,
Miss Stella Bourque, Toron-
to, was bridesmaid, wearing li-
ght blue nylon net with match-
ing accessories, and carrying
white and blue carnations.
A reception Was held at the
groom's home. The bride's mo-
ther wore a royal blue dress
of wool with white accessories,
while the groom's mother chose
a sealskin teal blue' suit with
brown squirrel collar and wh-
ite accessories. Guests from a
'distance were Mrs. Raymond
LeBlanc and Mrs. Felix Le-
Blanc from Moncton and Morris

wedding of Steintje, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Willem Kolk-
man, Clinton, and Cornelis
Dykstra, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Uilke Dykstra, Clinton. Rev.
G. Slofstra performed the cer-
emony. J, Roorda was organist
and soloist was Mrs. Zonder-
van.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her father, She wore
a taffeta gown and carried
red roses. Bridesmaid was
Jane Kolkman, Clinton, who
wore a blue nylon dress.
Murray Sientsma, Teeswater,
was groomsman. Ushers were
Bill Kolkman, brother of the
bride, and the groom's brother
Mike Dykstra.
A reception was held follow-
ing the wedding and in the
evening. Guests were present
from Clinton, Goderich, Sarnia,
Colborne, Fenwick, Burlington
and Hamilton. The bride's mo-
ther wore peacock blue with
brown floral design, and the
mother of the groom wore pur-
ple with a white corsage.
On their return from a wed-
ding trip to Northern Ontario
Mr. and Mrs. Dykstra will live
in Goderich.

Rebekahs Give
$800 Toward
Building New Hail
Noble grand Mrs. John Ham-
ilton was in charge of the reg-
ular meeting of Huronic Re-
bekah Lodge No. 306 held in
the Brucefield IOOF lodge
rooms. Plans were made for a
bake sale in November in aid
of the building fund,
The treasurer reported that
the ladies have given over $800
for this project, lit is hoped
that the new lodge hall will
be ready for use by December,
The president of the Rebekah
Assembly, Sister Louise Clark,
will be visiting •the district in
November. The Clinton lodge
will go to Exeter on November
16, and open the meeting as
their part of the evening's pro-
gram.
A draw and dutch auction
were held with Mrs, Jim, Mair
and Mrs. Donald Watson. the
winners. The next regular meet-
ing will be on November 7 in
the Brucefield hall. Anyone
wishing transportation should
be at the town hall by 7.45
p.m.
Girl Guides
Begin Season

Girl Guides opened' on Oct-
ober 3 with an enrolment of
approximately 60 girls.
On the night of Friday, Oc-
tober 14, the patrol leaders and
seconders' held a Court of Hon-
our meeting at the home of
Mrs. Graham, the Guide Cap-
tain.
Plans were made to hold a
weiner roast at the next meet-
ing, Monday, October 24, Pat-
rol leaders and seconders are
planning to have a conference
at the Scout and Cub camp
on Sunday. Each girl will br-
ing her own supper which will
be eaten at the camp.
At the last meeting on Mon-
day evening it was announced
that Mrs. Jack Irwin will be
the now Lieutenant of the
Company.
Will the girls who have red
ties and are not now in Guides,
please turn them in as they
are needed.
Norman Campbell
Norman Campbell, 69, retired
Stanley Township farmer, died
on Thursday morning in Vic-
torte. Hospital, London, after a
short illness.
Funeral service was held Sat-
urday, October 15, at the Beat-
tie funeral home, Clinton, with
Rev. H. Kendrick of the Pent-
ecostal Church, Seaforth, offic-
iating. Burial was made in the
Bayfield Cemetery.
Mr. Campbell was born in
Stanley Township, a son of the
late James Campbell and Lou-
ise Isabelle Evans Campbell. He
is survived by one sister, Mrs.
Therecea White, Detroit, Mich ;
and three nieces, Mrs. Clarence
(Bernice) Hugill and Mrs, Gor-
don (Hazel) Hoy, both of Clin-
ton; and Mrs. Alvin (Vera)
Wilhelm, Shakespeare.
County Home Has
Auxiliary Meeting
Plan For Christmas
The Huron County Home Au-
xiliary met in the auditorium
of the Home with Mrs. F. G.
Thompson in the chair. Mrs.
M. McAdam gave her secre-
tary's report and Mrs, Vi Hab-
good reported on finances,
Mrs. Harvey Johnston gave
a summary of work done by
the residents, such as pillow
slips, braided hot plate mats,
quilts quilted and patched. All
are for sale.
Mrs. G. W. Cininghame re-
ported on plans for entertain-
ment for coming weeks. Mrs,
Townsend reported on visits to
the residents. Mrs. W. C. Bens
nett told of letters written for
the Christmas Fair and the In-
stitutes for birthday parties.
Final arrangements were dis-
cussed for the Christmas Fair,
and hopes are to have all gifts
in by December 1, A social

Neighbours of Mrs. Gordon
Sutcliffe staged a surprise par-
ty for her on Tuesday after-
noon, October 18, at the home
of Mrs. Jack Woods, 194 Mary
Street. Mr. and Mrs. Sutcliffe
are moving soon to Wingham,
where Mr. Sutcliffe will be
the new postmaster.
Eighteen ladies attended and
presented' a clothes hamper and
bathroom scales to the honour-
ed lady. Lunch was served by
the hostess. Mrs. Sutcliffe
thanked her neighbours fitting-
ly and invited them to visit her
in their new home in Wing-
ham.
