"School supervision and ad-

Men Teachers Federation.
David G. Dewar, president
of the federation, gave the

known in this district, being
the older son of Mrs. David
Dewar, Bayfield.
Many of the students had
already taken a university
course in the early part of
the summer, but were Unani-
mous in their opinion that
this short course had equip-
ped them to serve their re-
spective communities and the
pupils to a greater degree
than ever before.
Subjects included "Improv-

Bob Draper Gets
Hole-In-One
At Bayfield
One of Clinton's top 'athletes
has achieved recognition in an-
other sport! Bob Draper, who
has played on. various Clinton
sports teams for the past two
decades, scored a hole-in-one at
the Clinton - Bayfield Golf
Course last Thursday evening.
Playing with "Bud" Schoen-
hals and son Bruce Schoenbals,
Mr. Draper got his ace on the
fourth hole, a 225 yard, par
four hole. Bob's score for the
nine holes was 35 strokes—par
for the course. *
The good crowds continue at
the Bayfield-Clinton course d'e-
spite the dried up fairways.
But the greens have stood up
remarkably well.
Mr. Hulls, owner of the pop-
ular course, commented last
weekend on the honesty and
sportsmanship of the many
members and guests at his
courSe. All claims of lost
equipment and other 'articles
have been promptly turned in
and picked up at his pro shop.
On Sunday •afternoon a teenage
boy, Peter Masters, of 710
Ayendale‘ St., Kitchener, found
a $2 bill at the parking lot,
which he promptly turned over
to Mr. Hulls. *
Another of dhnton's top golf-
ers, Jim Graham, claims the
longest drive of the season on
district courses. Playing last
weekend with A, M. Knight
and Ken Kirkness, Mr. Gra-
ham drove a ball 335 yards
off No. 7 tee •at Oakwood Golf
Course, Grand Bend. Jim shot
a 74 on the par 70 course that
day. The above three golfers
are from the Clinton Rural Hy-
dro office,

Farming Report
(By I). H. Miles,
agricultural representative
for Huron County)

bean harvest has started, fields
are ripening nicely with very
little disease appearing.
"Most of the county is suf-
fering from lack of moisture.
Some fields of corn are curling
because of lack of rain. Pastur-
es are dried to almost nothing
in mast areas, althotIgh niillt
yield is holding up well. Farm-
ers are feeding hay."
Clinton Kinsmen Peewee

well-umpired game. The ret-
