The ladies of 'the Woman's Association served luncheon and a most congenial, happy time was spent by all present, tinged, naturally, with a sad- ness at the parting with •a faithful pastor and his family. While in Clinton Mr. Mc- Kim was convener of the com- mittee on colleges and second- ary schools for Huron Pre'sby- tery of the United Church in Canada. His new duties will be as chaplain of Prince of Wal- es College. He will teach Christian education at the col- lege and at Memorial Univer- sity, commencing on September 6. Work in the community has included service as education convener for the Clinton Branch of the Canadian Can- cer Society and secretary of the Clinton Community Concert Band. is spending a, holiday with a brother in Toronto and later with his mother at Alliston. Mr. and Mrs. Murray E, Colquhoun have rented a home in "Little England" and are moving from Zurich to take up residence here this weekend, Mr. and Mrs. John Layton, London, and Mrs, W. Miss Heather Van Riesen was in London for a week visiting friends and to be near her mo- ther, Mrs. Kurt Van Riesen, who has been in Si', Joseph's Hospital for six weeks. Mr. and Mrs. 3, E. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas and daughter, Kitchener, were guests on Sunday of Mrs. E. Mr. and Mrs. William Wilson, Stratford, were visitors with Mr. and Mrs. James Livermore, 138 King Street, on Monday. They were old neighbours of the Livermore's more than 20 years ago. The visit was very much enjoyed. F/Sgt. and Mrs. Leonard Theedom and four children, RCAF Station Lac St. Denis, Que., left Tuesday for Toronto, after having visited for the past ten days with the lady's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. W. The reception was held at Tavistock Memorial Hall with 35 guests in atten- dance. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Andrews have returned to their home in Leaside after spending the summer with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Andrews, Clin- ton and Mr, and Mrs. Edwin Woods, Londesboro. Bill has been lecturing for eight weeks in science methods in a new branch of the College of Edu- cation, established for the first time this year in London at the Beal Technical School. His students were prospective high school science teachers.
