A little green man from Mars walk-
ed into a restaurant in a small town
—his eyes flashing red bulbs, purple
lights shining out of his breast poc-
kets, his antenna lit up in three
different colors. He stared dumb-
founded at a juke box going full
blast.
"I don't get it," he said at last,
addressing the instrument. "What's
a good looking babe like you, with
a voice like that doing in this hick
Itown?"
..Well, we don't have any purple lights shining out of the..
breast pockets of our sports jackets or suit coats . . . but
our men's wearing apparel is otherwise out of this world.
However, you'll find our prices are down to earth. Saunter
in soon.

There's nothing you can do
about the Barley Yellow-
Dwarf disease, concludes Dr.
Stan Young of the OAC Field
Husbandry Department. Farm-
ers are finding the disease this
year in both oats (yellow and
red leaves, stunted plants) and
barley (yellow leaves and
stunting). The same virus
causes both diseases and is
spread by aphids. Until
some scientist comes up with
a resistant variety, control is
too expensive, says Young.
