and structural qualities of first class pipe. Family Success Team
"How are you going to keep them down on the farm?" is no problem for
Frank Cook of Yarmouth, N.S. He's solved his help problem so neatly he's the
envy of many farmers across Canada. The story of an amazingly successful
dairy enterprise by the Cook family will be told on CBC-TV's Country Calendar,
Sunday, July 31. The history of the Cook business dates back to 1929 when Frank
Cook and his wife purchased a 39-quart milk route. Today they buy milk from 20
of their neighbours, have their own herd of 150 purebred Guernseys and own a
modern dairy with a daily output of 4,500 quarts. Eight of the couple's nine sons
and a grandson are in the business with them. Seen left to right are: Mrs. Cook,
Mr. Cook, Francis Sr., Francis Jr., Kenneth, Neil, Bill, Steve, Arnold, Joe, Hugh.

CALE DOUCETTE
Well adapted to the standard size
city lot, this three-bedroom haute
leaves little to be desired in modern
living accommodation. Architect
William A. Strong, of Toronto, has
also achieved a pleasing exterior ap-
pearance in this brick and masonry
bungalow through the use of large
window areas and an attached car-
port.
Of interest in the interior plan
are the position of the family room
and the arrangement of the kitchen,
The U-shaped working arta prove
ides an abundance of cupboards
and ample counter space. The handy
pass-through between the kitchen
and family room will also appeal
to the housewife, The architect has
provided good closet space through-
out the heuse while the tear wall
of the carport contains storage fac-
ilities for garden tools and toys.
The total floor area is 1,219
square feet and the eXteriOr . oilmen-
tionS are 46 feet by 26 feet, six
incites, with the carport extending
another 11 feet, six inches. Work-
ing drawings for the house, known
as Design /86, may he obtained
from Central Mortgage and Housing
COrporatiOn at thinitnurn Cost.
