is the daughter of Mr. and
Mrs, David. II, Walsh, Hast-
ings, and the groom is the son
of Mee, Florence and the late
Wiarn J. Stewart, Charlotte-
town.
The Rev, Charles Drowin
performed the double ring
ceremony 'and Pierre Gaudet
and Ernest Faleard served the
nuptial mass, Wedding music
was played by Miss Florence
Evans and Mrs. R. Peterson
was soloist.
The bride was given in mar-
riage by her father, wearing
a floor-length gown of white
nylon chiffon with scoop neck-
line edged with embroidered
daisies, bracelet length sleeves
and dropped waistline, silhouet-
ted with daisies, The skirt fell
in soft folds, the front featur-
ing a Princess line and drop-
ped waist caught at the back
with a large bow. A petalled
bow headpiece etched with seed
pearls held her pure silk
French illusion finger-tip veil.
Her flowers were a cascade of
pink sensation roses and ste-
phanotis-
The bride's sister, Catherine,
of London, was gowned in
bouffant • floor-length peacock
nylon chiffon with short shir-
red cap sleeves, basque waist-
line and draped cowl neckline.
She wore matching mittens
and bow headpiece and carried
a nosegay of white baby
Lawrence Cakill was grooms-
man for his cousin. Ushers
were F/O John P. Walsh, bro-
ther of the bride, 'and F/O

A reception was held in the
Officers Mess, RCAF Station
Clinton. The bride's mother
wore dusty rose pure silk with
white accessories 'and corsage
of white carnations.
For a wedding trip to points
-east, the bride chose a beige
linen sheath and duster with
beige accessories and corsage
of bronze 'mums. F/O Stewart
has been stationed at RCAF
Station Clinton, and his bride
is on staff at A/V/M Hugh
Campbell Public School at the
station.

The bride wore a waltz-
length gown of nylon net over
taffeta, featuring a bouffant
skirt 'and a short jacket with
shirred sleeves and pearl trim.
Her veil of 'illusion, was trim-
med with lace applique and
was held by a tiara of satin
and pearls. She carried a
shower bouquet of deep pink
roses.
The bride's attendant was
her sister, Miss Linda Murch,
gowned in sheer white cotton
and pastel embroidery. She
carried nosegay of white
'porns and mint green tulle.
For the wedding trip the
bride wore a sheath dress and
jacket of champagne brocaded
bengaline with white accessor-
ies and carried -a mint green
duster coat. Her corsage -was
of coral carnations. The couple
are residing in Londesboro.

The Rev. Laurence Talbot,
Harriston, officiated before the
verandah steps, banked on eith-
er side with cedar and red
roses with large baskets of
white 'mums and pink carna-
tions at the 'bottom.
Corning from the home of
her grandmother, the bridal
party moved up the aisle on
the lawn• between the guest
seats. The bride was escorted
by her father, who gave her
in marriage.
She chose a white chantilly
lace gown over taffeta. The
tight-fitting bodice had a por-
trait neckline, outlined with
seed pearls, and three-quarter
length sleeves. The full bouf-
fant waltz-length skirt featur-
ed a white silk organza cum-
berbund -the ends shirred at the
hemline.
Her elbow length veil was
held with a tiara of seed pearls
and brilliants. She carried a
white Bible crested with white
gardenias, showered with red

Second council meeting of
the month, with less business
to transact than usual, began
an. hour late Monday evening,
but ended just 40 minutes lat-
er, with the reports !and de-
cisions moving along quickly,
With no bickering.
Reeve Melvin Crich introduc-
ed a guest from County Dur-
ham, England, who was visit-
ing him. Mayor Bridle extend-
ed a welcome, commenting that
seldom did visitors from the
town attend council, much less
someone from overseas.
There were no deputations,
and no correspondence to come
before the meeting.
Councillor Thorndike report-
ed buying a new tire for the
cruiser, rather than having the
old one vulcanized; following
damage by glass.
Councillor L. G. Winter re-
ported on progress on storm
sewers; held up at intersec-
tions, where other drains had
to be met and attached. Some
manholes had been changed to
ba'lns to save money.
They four el sand and quicksand
in' some places, which -they re-
placed with good gravel fill
over the main. At the corner
of Rattenbury and Orange St-
reets! -they found six . feet not
taken out of the road in pre-
parations, and so had to pro-
ceed to -take out six inches
depbh, right across the road,
and fill it properly,
Councillor Winter expected
figures for black top would- be
ready to call tenders 'by the
time workmen reached the st-
reet back of the hospital in
their storm sewer work.
Concerning industrial pro-
motion, Councillor Winter not-
ed the work of the Mid-Wes-
tern Ontario Development As-
sociation, and the main section
of the work which he was in-
volved in, "Tourist Promotion".
Reeve Crech reported need
of relief was increasing, and
some problems were at 'hand,
which required the advice of
higher authority to straighten
out,
Councillor George Beattie re-
ported tenders were coming in

meeting. He stated that the
general -government commit-
tee had approved repairing the
slate on the roof of the hall,
at a cost of $180, and the- work
would be done Tuesday.
Next meeting was set for
Tuesday, August 9, so that
Councillor Thornd1ike would be
able to attend following his
annual holidays.
Purchase of more land at the
dump from George Bayley at
a cost of $500 was authorized.
An. interim payment of $462.25
to T. Merrier for work on the
streets was 'authorized.
Deputy Reeve M. J. Agnew,
chairman of finance, warned
that money was running out
and little -mare than half the
year was past, To a comment
from Councillor Thorridike that
he was saving money in the
police committee, Mr. Agnew
suggested that the councillor
arrange for better -police super-
vision of parking. Mr. Agnew
told of seeing many cars park-
ing over the white lines which
had cost money to lay down.
"It would have been better to
save that money, too, possibly,"
he said.
Council passed a motion to
request from the clerk of the
County of Huron a full, ex-
planation of the proposed
changes in; the 'administration
of local libraries under a cen-
tralized county plan, and a
copy of 'the legislation author-
izing such changes.
