have sold their grocery :business
to Mr and. ;Mins, Kenneth Fergus-
on, at present in Sitrathroy. They
take possession and will carry on
the business on June 14. The
Kingsburys will continue to oc-
cupy the residence for some time.

Was in Woodstock on. Sunday atf-
ternon -to attend -a family gather-
ing. It was .the observance of his
nephew David DeShane's 21st
birthday. He is a student at
Niagara Falls Park School. Rela-

from the other, states, and brought
back some cotton plants as souv-
enirs of the south.
The Reverend E. J. B. Harrison
attended the Ordination service in
New St, Paul's Church, Wood-
stock
oodstock on Ascension Day (Thurs-
day). On Friday he attended the
funeral of an old family friend,
Mrs. Alfred .Ashby, in. Sarnia.

The Rev, John Patrick who bias
had charge of St. Andrew's Un-
ited Church pastorate since last
June, ' preached his farewell ser-
mon on Sunday. -
Bassing his remarks on St. Mat-
thew 22: 3-5, he stressed , personal
evangelism. He had requested
special. music 'for. this' service.
With Miss Catherine Welsh at the
organ, she with- Miss Doreen Mc-
Kenzie and Ted Dunn, sang a trio,
"Great is Thy Faithfulness;" the
Choir anthems, "God, will take
care of you" and "In shadow, in
sunshine," and Mrs. D. Kings-

were co -hostesses .at a delightful
miscellaneous shower held 3n St.
Andrew's United Church basement
on Monday evening, in honour of
Miss Marilyn Speckle •a bride -el-
ect of Saturday.
The basement was tastefully
decoratedwith spring flowers.
About : 50 -women -and girls , were
present, Community singing was
enjoyed with 'Mfrs. D. Kingsburyat
the piano, under the direction of
Miss Elaine Grainger. Mrs. Kings
bury gave a piano forte selection.
Miss Helen Grainger son "Some
Saturday Morning," a parody to
the tune of "Some Sunday Morn-
ing„
Mrs. L. Talbot conducted an
amusing "Who am I?" quizz.
Following this Elaine Grainger
pinned a corsage of flowers on
Marilyn and invited her to the
front. When the curtains were,.
opened the gifts were revealed on
tables, and there was a specially
decorated -bride's Chair a n d
streamer's.Elaine read an ad-
dress ,and then Marilyn opened
the many beautiful gifts,assisted
by Joyce Greer -and Helen Grain-

After Miss Steckle had expres-
sed her -thanks and appreciation
of the honour accorded her, lunch
