Mrs. W. H. Robinson returned

Mrs. 5. H. Cobb returned home
on Tuesday of last week 'after hate
ing visited in- Toronto and Oak-
ville for a fortnight. She was ac-
companied by Mrs. J, M. Wallace,
Oakville, who was her guest until
Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hovey return-
ed home on Sunday after having
enjoyed a two. and a half weeks
holiday . with Mr. and Mrs, Ted
Mack, Davis Island, Tampa, Flor-
ida. They motored south via De-
troit and returned by Buffalo.
Mrs. W. J. Hall, Fort Lauder-
dale,' accompanied by her niece,

to spend the summer at her home
on Chiniquy Street- They travel-

station maintains four trucks for
transporting it. Each truck is
capable of carrying two stage or
commercial settings.

given by Liberty agazine, the one
last year for the best arranged
program of local talent "Focus,"
CKNX is owned; by W. T.
Cruickshank, who started in. a
very small way in radio over 30
years ago. (It was known then as
Wingham 10eeP). His brother
John now manages the radio and
his son "Bud" Cruickshank, CK-
NX Television Station.
The children and adults enjoy-
ed) this educational tour.
In conversation with Mr. and
Mrs. Fralick, they •had very high
praite for W. T. Cruickshank as
a great community minded man
who had really put Wingleam on
the map. When he first commen-
ced people called him a dreamer;
but the dream grew and grew and
with it the' town.
The TV is housed in the old
High School, which Mr. Cruick-
shank bought for a dollar. He
later gaVe a new Hammond organ
to the new high school and wired,
