highly esteemed' residents of the
village for the past 16 years, left
on Monday of WS week for Mit-
chell, where. they will take. up
residence. Mr. Petzke operated a
egg, grading station here for ten
years, but disposed of his businesS
owing to ill health. He has been
affiliated with Hensall Lodge
OF 223, for nine years, Herisall
will regret losing such fine citiz,
ens as Mr. and Mrs. Petzke, but
the best wishes..go with them to
their new home.
Noble Grand Mrs. Glenn Bell
presided for the regular meeting
of Amber Rebekah Lodge, Wed-
nesday evening the 20th. Vice
Grand Mrs. Ernie Chipchase sub-
mitted her report for the visiting'
committee. Arrangements for the
District Annual to be held in Am-
ber Rebekah Lodge, Wednesday,
April 27, at 3 p.m. were finalized.

New Hats '
Miss Nora Creyke, millinery in-
structress from the home econom-
ic service extension 'branch, Tor-
onto, conducted a millinery course
in the Legion Hall, April 26-21-22,
with ten ladies taking the course.
Each one completed at leastp one
hat, and hats that were made
were modelled from the original
Paris creations. Miss Creyke
gave each person individual at-
tention.

going through an air vent 11 in-

cash register which yielded $10 in

iety of Kippen United Church, has
postponed its meeting from May
4 to Thursday evening, May 5, at
8,15 p.m.

daughter and girl friend from
Parry Sound, spent the weekend

thoughtfulness and invited them,
to her tea. The hostess then ser,
ved a delicious buffet luncheon.
On Saturday evening, April 23,
Mrs. Bert Faber entertained about
40 relatives and friends of the
bride-to-be. Piano instrumentals
were" given by Mrs, Ross Broad-
foot, Wendy Jones and Sharon
McBride. Miss Barbara Zimmer
gave a reading which was follow-
ed by a mock wedding. Miss En-
een McLean gave a reading and
the address was read by Dianne
Faber, Many beautiful gifts were
carried in, by Robert McClinchey
and Jimmy Cooper, June thank-
ed the ladies and invited them to
her trousseau tea, A dainty lun-
ch followed.
