Sunday Shooting
At Alma Grove
Consider' By-laws
Town council en Monday night
left with the police committee a
request from Clinton Gun Club
for permission to hold trapshoot-
ing meets on Sunday, at Alma
Grove.
Councillor J. Douglas Thorn-
dike, chairman of the police com-
mittee commented that he did not
favour of an all day shoot, but he
would check on; by-laws concern-
ing shooting of fire4itnnts in town
before they made a decision, He
said he believed the club was giv-
en permission to shoot in ,town,
when the club was .formed.
Councillor George Rurnball no-
ted that if the by-laws forbid it,
then the proper action would be
to change the by-law if it were
considered necessary. He sugges-
ted that the Club hold their
shoots at the Fish and Game
farm.
