Mrs, D. E. Gliddon,
Jack Sturdy, and' Dr. Don Fann-
er; euchre, Mrs. F. Rooth, Mrs,
William Monaghan; door prize,
Mrs. 'Cameron Proctor.
Prizes were presented by G,
Morley Counter, vice-chairman
of the hospital board.

Boven-Broere
The Christian Reformed Church,
Clinton, was the scene on Friday
'afternoon, April 8, of the wedding
of Nel' Broere, daughter of Jan
Broere, Wilnis, Holland, to Gerrit
Boven, Godericth, son of Karel
Bovert, Walton. The Rev. A. G,
Von Eek officiated. •
The bride was lovely in a full-
length gown featuring a lace bod-
ice with long sleeves, a full net
skirt dotted with a lace applique,
and her fingertip veil was held
by 'a matching lace 'coronet. She
carried a cascade of red roses and
white '.mums.
Kees Guetter was organist for
the wedding. A reception followed
in the church hall.
The young couple are living at
RR 5, Goderich.

bekah. Assembly of Ontario, and
the district deputy president of
District 23, Mra, Dorothy Parker
were honoured at • a ,hanquet in
Carnet Presbyterian Church,
Henson, on April 6, by members
of Amber Rebekah Lodge, Hen-
sail; Morning Star,_ Brussels, and
Edelweiss, Seaforth. Quests were
received by the noble grand Mrs,
Glen Bell; assisted 'by the vice
grand Mrs. Ernie -Chipchase.
Noble grand Mrs. Bell present-
ed Mrs. Bowman and Mrs, Parker
with corsages, Mrs. Tyyme, nolble
grand of Brussels pr•oposed the
toast to the assembly warden, and
Mrs. Boyce, Seaforth, the toast
to the district deputy president,
Mrs, Alex MacGregor spoke for
the Ladies And of the church in
response to thonke received from
D,D.P. Mrs,. Parker.
The honoured gUests made their
official visits to the lodges rep-
resented at the local ball fallow-
in the banquet. Morning Star
Lodge, Brussels, opened the
Lodge, Noble grand Mrs. Bell and
members • of Amber Lodge con-
cluded the meeting.
Mrs. Inez McEwen, Jr. P.N,G.
presented the D.D.P. Mrs. Parker
to the Lodge and Mrs. Bev, Bea-
ton introduced the assembly war-
den Mrs. Helen Bowman.
Mrs. William Smale reported
for . the finance committee and
Mrs. A. MacGregor for the bank
balance, and semi-annual report'.
An invitation was received from
Pride of Huron Lodge, Exeter, to
attend their meeting and banquet
at Armstrong's restaurant, Exe-
ter, April 20, in honor of the
D.D,P. Mrs. Parker,
Mrs. Alex McBeath, P.N.G. was
appointed delegate to the inaug-
ural meeting. to be held in Amber
Rebekah Lodge April 27, An in-
vitation was received from Edel-
weiss Lodge, Seaforth, to attend
their meeting April n when
D.D.P.• Mrs. Parker will officially
visit the Lodge.
Mrs. Bowman spoke on the
motto, "Love One Another" end
the extension fund - for the Home
at Barrie. Mrs. Parker spoke on
"Friendship, Love and Truth"
and thanked the members for
their co-operation.
Mrs. Keith Sharpe, N,G., Sea-
forth Lodge and Mrs. Thyme,
N.G., Brussels Lodge spoke brief-
ly, Refreshments were served in
the lower hall. About 80 mem-
bers attended.

Mrs. Gordon Love

Mrs. Gordon Love passed away
at her late. residence, Richmond
Street North, Hellion, on Mon-A
day, April U, her 69th. year.'
The former Maud Mary Stelck,
she was born in Hillsgreen, resid-
ing 'there all her life and taking
up residence in Henson with her
husband and daughter Dorothy
three years ago. She -was a mem-
ber of Henson United Church.
Surviving are her husband, one
son, Clarence, Wetaskiwin, Alta.;
two daughters, Mrs. Robert (El-
len) Graham, Weston, and Doro-
thy at home.
Resting at the Bonthron fun-
eral home, Hensall, • for service
on Thursday, April 14, at 2 p.m.
with Rev. Currie Winlaw officiat-
ing. Interment in Baird's Ceme-
try, Stanley Township.

en, that they are offit to wait
on, Let us have a ",Sidewalk •
Clean-up Campaign" wilish would.
help to .some extent.
I would like to suggest that
the householder, himself, could
help a great deal, by sweeping
off the sidewalk IA front of his
own house, especially where the
gravel and dirt collects from the
driveway.
At least if we have clean side:,
walks, that will make it a little
more pleasant for those of us
who walk:
