Discussing these records the forum thought that in- dividuals -themselves were the main persons to help with these hazards. The schools send out papers on fire prevention every year. Children take these home to fill them out. If a contest in school could create more interest by having children go on a tour of their own premises, and taking note of all hazards, each farmer would be surpised at the hazards on his own farm. 4-H Clubs could have all mem- bees take this farm survey tour and record their findings, The forum does not think a national safety council could be of help, but a farm safety week would be a great belp. Progressive euchre was played. Prizes were won by: high, Mrs. Myrtle Babcock, Mrs. Alice Bu- chanan; lone hands, Mrs. Ora Ri- ley, Mrs. Delores Hewett; consola- tion. Mrs. Babel Riley, Mrs. Oliver Anderson, Next Monday Mrs. Harvey Taylor will be hostess for the Fireside Forum. 0 Dalevista Farms Has Canadian Champion In Guernsey Bull "Dalevista Brigadier's Sparkler" bred, owned and exhibited by Wil- liam Dale, RR 1, Clinton, has won the "All Canadian" award for bull calves topping the class of five senior and junior bulls which were nominated for the competition from all over Canada, The calf was first junior bull calf at the Royal Winter Fair in 1959. Results of the competition also showed "Far Hills Flame's Hest- er", from the same farm receiving honourable mention in the aged cow classes. Bill Dale, former Warden of Huron, has been breeding Guern- seys just four years and his suc- cess in that short period of time indicates what can be accomplish- ed with Guernseys by new breed- ers, His entries from Dalevista Farms have been consistent win- ners. dr.......1mnimomomoommoormamomkprommsommoom•0444.41.4., DEATHS COWAN—In Clinton Public Hos- pital,' on Thursday, March 3, Marian Woodhouse, beloved wife of the late William H. Thieves gained entrance through a win- dow at the rear of the building. This is the third break-in at the mill within two years. In the first occurrence the safe was taken from the building, rifled and left at the rear of the building. The second time the safe was remov- ed and left lying in a snowbank in Usborne Township. This was the second break-in at Hensall recently.
