Clinton. Kinsmen trounced their
fellow service men from Gc.X10.,
rich 7-3 on Monday night in Cita-
ton Lions Arena. It was a hard
game, fought seriously by the two
tani:S,. which though "liberally
sprinkled with a.etive, hockey
players", also each had some men
on skates who must have rarely
beep on the ice since they were
kids piaying shinny, or before they
took up banking as their vocation.
Only three penalties were met-
' ed out; two for tripping, to John.
Sangster and Bill Chowen, and one
for slashing to Don Fulton. . All
were on the Clinton: team, They
played three 20-minute periods,
straight time.
To the audience. who came to
cheer, to chuckle and to sympa-
thize, it was a look into the past,
when the. Clinton Colts were at
their best, and also a look into the
future. Several times 'the com-
ment was heard, "We could have

teams after winning their respec-

Turkey Growers
Sent in. Ballots
Last week this paper published
a report of the results of the re-
cent vote by turkey producers,
which was gleaned from -a daily
paper report of the event. The
story told of 52' percent of the 900
voters favouring the scheme.
According to. a release from the
information branch of the Ontario
Department of Agriculture, these
figures are incorrect. There were
920 producers eligible. Only 447
voted. This represented 48.5 of
those eligible.
The vote in favour of the plan
was 532 percent, falling short of
the 66 and two-thirds percent re-
quired to make the plan operative.
238 producers favoured the levy
of a fee for the purpose of adver-
tising and otherwise promoting the
sale of Ontario grown turkeys.
There were 209 opposed to the
levy.
