Weewees Play Saturday Afternoon
Big, man o'n' the Weewee hockey team, is Allan
Wells. Dwarfed by the big "to him" net he's confidently
ready to fight off any advance made by forwards on that
other team, if they'd only come dawn to his end of the
rink. Practice sessions .for the Weewees (age 6-8 years)
Were begUn this year. by the Kinsmen Club of Clinton in '
preparation for a start in the Peewee career which many
little boys lOok forward to. First public appearance of the
Weewees will be in the arena Saturday at one o'clock.

With Budd Boyes scoring all
three goals in regulation time and
Keith Allen getting the Overtime
counter, Clinton Legion Midgets
won the Kinsmen Club of Hensall's
first Midget Hockey Tournament
last Saturday evening.
To gain the finals Clinton de-
feated Goderich 5-3 in the after-
noon, while Seaforth beat Exeter
5-2.
This was the "B" series of the
tourney, while Hensall weft the
"D" sCries, defeating Ripley 10-0
and Lucan 9-1.
Five players Shared the scor-
ing in the afternoon victory over
Goderich: Roger Cummings, Bud
Yeo, Sob Livermore, Keith Allen
and Min -Radford.

tion hortoring Tack Roxburgh, fir-
st vice-president of the CAHA, in
t. Simcoe last Friday night At
that time 'they invited hina;to take
part in Clinton's Minor Hockey
Day this Saturday.
Over 200 sports people from
Ontario ,and, United Staes were
present, and presented Mr. Rox-
burgh with a television set. \
Mr. Roxburgh. is the originator
of the Minor Hockey Day in Can-
ada idea and a strong promoter
of minor hockey in 'Ontario.
One of the entertainers at the
affair was Robert Atherton of the
New York City Opera company,
who -played minor hockey in Sim-
coe for Mr. Roxburgh.

In Hunters Safety.
The Huron Fish and Game
Constrvation Association, with
headquarters in the club house at
Alma Grove (in Clinton) is ar-
ranging classes in safety training.
This training will soon be corn-
puIsow for new applicants for
hunting licences.
There will be four classes given,
two hours each. Then a test will
be given and these qualifying will
receive crests and certificates to
purchase their gun licence when
they come of age.
