OBITUARY Elliott McArthur - (By our Hensall Correspondent) Elliott (Rae) McArthur passed away at the home of Wilson Allan, in Tuckersmith Township, on Wed- nesday evening, January 20, 1960, following a brief illness, He was in his 61st yeer. Born on the sceond concession of Hay Township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mc- Arthur, he resided in Hensall most of his life, taking up residence in Tuckersmith some four years ago. He served overseas with the 161st Battalion, in World War I, enlisting in Hensall, and was wounded while overseas. Mr. McArthur was a member of the Hensel). Legion Branch No. 468. For some years he was fore- man with the Department of High- ways. He was unmarried. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Jean Manson, Exeter; Mrs. Stew- art McQueen, Hensall; Mrs. Roy Lamont, Zurich and Mrs. J. D. Reid, London. Public funeral service was held from the Bonthron funeral chapel, `Hansa., Friday, January 22, at 2 p.m., conducted by Chaplain Rev. Currie Winlaw. Burial was in, the Hensel', Union Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Hilton Laing, Harry Snell, Don Rigby, Melvin Elliott, Glenn Bell, Jack Traqu:air.
