wore royal blue velveteen with
Matching bead-bands and shoes,
and carried bouquets of baby
white 'mums,
Miss Lois Granby, organist of
the church, provided the wedding
music. Donald Huger, Clinton,
was groomsman.
For the reception in the church
hall, the bride's mother wore dark
brown wool with fur trim, a beige

About 50 men attended the saw
chain school held in the show.room
of Wells Auto Electric last Friday
night, and saw demonstrations and
films on the operation and care of

Stuart Ament returned from
Clinton Public Hospital after sev-
eral weeks a patient there.
Ben Lyon, Brandon, Manitoba,
visited recently with Mr. and 'Mrs.
Charles Scott.
George Raithby was able to re-
turn to his home over the week-
end after a few weeks of sick-
ness in Goderich hospital. Last
Friday he celebrated his 88th
birthday and received many cards
and messages of congratulations
to mark the occasion.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Wilson, Gode-
rich township, spent last Sunday
with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Scott.
Friends of Fred Toll will be
pleased to know that he is improv-
ing after his recent illness.
Miss Brigette Slitchling returned
home Sunday after spending
Christmas with her grandparents
in Germany.

The Grace-Andrews YPU met
on Sunday evening in Grace Ch-
urch, Porter's Hill. The worship
service was in charge of Elaine
Wilson, convener of faith and
everyday living. Following the
meeting a quiz =was conducted by
Ted Dunn.
The executive of the Woman's
Association of Grace Church met
Tuesday afternoon at the home of
Mrs. T. Sowerby. Programs for
the coming year were arranged.

Welcome Back
Over 50 relatives and friends
gathered at Carlow Hall last Sat-
urday evening to welcome back
to his home community, Mr. and
Mrs. D. W. Patterson, Grande
Prairie, Alberta. The evening was
spent in playing ,progressive
euchre.
The high lady's prize was tied
for by Mrs. William Straughan
and Mrs. Alvin Plunkett, and the
high gentleman's prize was tied
for by David McClinchey and Al-
vin Plunkett. -
After a delicious lunch was ser-
ved Mr. Patterson reminisced ab-
out former years. His two sisters,
Mrs. William Anderson and Mrs.
Albert Shackleton; Toronto, were
also present for the reunion.
Guests were present from To-
ronto, Goderich, Blyth and the sur-
rounding district. The evening
closed by all singing Auld Lyne
Syne.
