Christie and daughter Joy left last week for their home in Strathcona, Alta. They visited with with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mitchell in Toronto, for a few days. Miss Ada Willis returned last week after spending the summer in the west. She visited her sister Mrs Smith, in Manitoba, her . brother Mr. Sherman Willis, of Tiny, Sask., and Mr. Mitchell Willis, of Peace River, Alta. Mrs. T. Ward, of Londoh, Mr. F. Hippie, Mrs, Thos. Wright and Mr. Ed. Ward, of Detroit, spent the holi­ days with Dr. John and Mrs. Ward and with Mr. T. Ward who has been here for several w/eeks. Mr. and Mrs. R. G, Seldon and son, Wallace, have returned home after visiting in Kingston and -were accompanied home by their Harry and Miss Saundercook, are visiting for a time. Mr. and Mrs. Allan Myers family, of Detroit, spent the Labor Day holidays with Miss Sanders and Miss Vospeiv They were accompan­ ied home by Miss Phyllis Myers, who has been visiting here for two weeks Mr. Frank Johns, of Toronto, mo­ tored up and spent the holiday with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Wellington Johns and was accompanied home by his wife and two children who have been holidaying here. Mr. Johns assisted at the- Sunday School service in James St. United church Sunday morning. Last week Mi*. David Rowcljffe visited Kippen Flower Show and act­ ed as Judge. Pie reports some very choice blooms especially Dahlias, Sweet Peas and Asters. Having act­ ed in a similar capacity there before fie reports that this was the best show they ever held.
