There was no even­ ing service. Mr. Cunnngham is an Exeter boy and this was the first time he has preached in his home town. His many friends were de­ lighted to hear him. Principal G. Howard of the Exeter Public School is to be con­ gratulated on the excellent showing of the Entrance class. Miss Marj­ orie Complin is awarded the scholar­ ship for the Exeter- school. Complin also obtained the marks for Huron County.. those who obtained the marks in each subject the scholars make a splendid showing. Of the 24 pupils who passed from the Exeter school 11 secured first- class honors and 6 second. Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Quinn and Mr. and Mrs. John Cann returned last > week after a pleasant motor trip to Oshawa and Bowmanville. While motoring from Oshawa to Bowmanville they came up with a large motor bus with a capacity of about 60 passengers that had just met with an accident and was turn­ ed on its side in the ditch, The bus was going up a hill at a fast rate of speed when it turned out to pass some cars and collided with a large American car. Only one person was injured in the accident. Short­ ly after they passed the scene some one struck a match to light a cigar and throwing it in the ditch it ig­ nited some gasoline arid the bus and the American car were destroy­ ed by fire.
