Tuft and Trueman Tuft motored to Londesboro on Sunday and speut the day with friends. Mr. John Moore received word on Friday of the death of his sister, Mrs. Alex. Brown, of London. He attended the funeral which was held ou Monday. Mrs. John Urquhart is at present under the doctor’s care. Next Sunday will be Mother’s Day and the United Sunday School are preparing a Mother's Day program. There will be a mother’s choir as well as special music. Mr. Harker, of St. Marys, will address the Sun­ day School. You will be made wel­ come. Word was received here on Sun­ day of “he death of Rev. S. Ander­ son, of Moncton. Mr. Norris Graham, who spent a week in town in charge of the blacksmith shop has returned to his home in London. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Dobbs spent the week-end in London. Miss Dorothea Davison spent Sat­ urday and Sunday* at her home in Guelph, having motored Mr. Davison. Many from the village back to Grand Bend this the two attractions being the dance hall and the dredge that is cleaning out the river bed. Gardening seems to be the order of the day. Many of our citizens their onion seed last week. We are glad to note that Mr. and Mrs. John Brock and Mr. Andrew Anderson are able to be out again after their recent illness. Mr. Frank Colwill is in Toronto this week on business. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Baker spent Sunday last at Brussels. Messrs. Smith and Dobbs deliver­ ed a quantity of I. H. C.„ machines recently to the different farmers in this neighborhood. •Seeding, operations will be about completed this week in this vicinity, the weather conditions having been ideal. A car load of tobacco was shipped* from this station last. week. ’ Many of the farmers were dissappointeci with the prices paid for same. The produce business of Mr. W. J. The young folk of the United Church gathered at the home of M.iss Mae Wilson last Wednesday ev­ ening and presented Miss Alice Turner and Miss Myrtle Rock each with a mantel clock and many ex- pessions of good will and wishes for their future happiness on the eve of their approaching marriage. The happy couple left by motor fo-Y London, Detroit and Niagara Falls and on their return will bo at home to their friends. The best wishes of the community will follow them all through life.
