So high Hints AN AID TO HEALTH Mr. Amery Answers Ques tions Raised in the House of Commons London.—Some 4,000,000 machine-- gun cartridges and' 400,000 rifles have been shipped to Hejaz during the past five months. This fact transpired' in the House of Commons when L- C. M. S. Amery, ^^X-yeplying to questions, ©aid that al though he had not been consulted) be-1 fore the recent issue of these exports which were for the Hejaz Govern ment, he understood1 that the Foreign Office and the service departments concerned were aware of them. i Aisked further what guarantee there was that they would not be used1 against the British troops, Mr. Amery said that the latest information tendi- ed to show the King of Hejaz wais disassociating himself from the ag gressive action, of the Nejdian tribel&- men and was not supplying them with ammunition. These exports, nevertheless, were regarded with considerable misgiving in Opposition circles here, having re gard to such disclosures as those just made at Geneva, where the Women's League for Peace and1 Freedom, for example, blames the continuance of the civil war in China upon similar exports, from Oslo. In the case of Hejaz, they are per mitted under an annex to last year’s An'glo-IIejas treaty which the British Government, in return for Hejaz umdertainkg such beneficial action as the protection of pilgrims, and' the suppression of slavery, consented- to the removal, of the previously existing embargo against the export of materials to Arabia. i ------------------A__________ p atents List of "Wanted Inventions” and Full Information Sent Free on RequestTHE RAMSAY CO., Dept. Winter is al ways a trying time for those who are not in ruggeif health. Many men, women and children go through the winter on reserve strength they have stored up during the sunny summer months, and grow increasingly pale and languid as the spring days ap proach. An tonic for the blood and nerves at this time will do much for such people, by putting color in the cheeks and banishing that tired feel ing that worries thousands of people at this season of the year. It is impossible to be energetic if your blood is thin and weak, or If your nerves are frayed or shattered. You cannot compete with others if you do not get refreshing sleep at night, or If your appetite is poor or you are losing weight. You need a tonic at this time to add to your efficiency now, as well as to save you from suf fering later on. And in all the realm of medicine, there is no safer or bet ter tonic than Dr. Williams’ Pink Pills. These pills tone and enrich the blood which circulates through every por tion of the body, strengthening jaded nerves and rundown organs, and bringing a feeling of new strength and energy to weak, easily tired, des pondent men, women and children. Mrs. L. Hupman, Summerville Cen tre, N.S., writes:—-‘Dr. Williams’ Pink Pills have been of the greatest bene fit to me. A few years ago I was In a badly run down condition. I became bo weak and nervous that I could scarcely go about and doing my house work left me completely used up. Everything seemed to worry me, and I was in a very discouraged when I began taking Dr. Pink Pills. I soon found helping me, and continuing I fully regained my health, then I always take a few boxes in the Spring to build me up for the hot weather, and always I find the best re sults. I therefore cheerfully recom mend these pills as the best of health builders.
