ENTERTAINED The Young People of Caven church Guild spent a most pleasant social evening at the commodious home of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Harrison, on Tuesday evening. Three large sleighloads driven by Messrs. Nel­ son Stanlake, Wallace Makins and Wm. Sillery, left the church^t se­ ven o’clock and favored by a silver moon and excellent sleighing and the merry laughter of youth, the trip was made along the pictures­ que Thames Road in record time and the sleighriders wore warmly welcomed by the hearty host and hostess at their warm and delight­ ful home. Miss Lulu Fulton, presi­ dent of the Guild ably directed the evening’s enjoment of games, music and entertainment. After some hours, thus delightfully spent lunch was served and a. hearty vote of thanks was tendered Mr. and Mrs. Harrison and also to the drivers. L, Robson, president of Middlesex Growers’ A?-so nation, was present, and assisted in organizing here. A largo acreage was grown in this ncigborhood last year, and the yield was good. Prospects are that double the crop will bo grown -this year.
