Monday after holidaying for two
weeks being on a motor trip to
Chesley Lake, Toronto, Peterboro,
Pt. Hope and Buffalo. They travel
led over 1200 miles and had a very
enjoyable holiday.
The members of the James Street
Ladles’ Aid held a picnic in Victoria
Park last Thursday afternoon. After
a short business session, at which
the ladies voted to do some redecor
ating in the church, a program of
sports and stunts was carried out.
The ladies served a picnic lunch and
all present reported a very enjoy
able afternoon.
Mr. G. G Gibson, of St. Louis, Mo-,
is renewing old acquaintances in this
community. It is many years ago
since Mr. Gibson left Exeter yet he
still retains a warm spot in his heart
for the scenes of his childhood and
the old friends he used to know- He
has kept in touch with the happen
ings of the district through The
Times-Advocate and frequently Mr.
Gibson sends to us papers from his
own city containing items of,-inter-
est. Mr. Gibson was in Goderich
Tuesday to visit the grave of his
father.

painting a window sash Mr. J. T.
Wood had the misfortune to fall
from a step-ladder dislocating his
right shoulder. .. . *
Marjorie, the little daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. F. A. May, had the
misfortune to fracture-her left arm
at Grand Bend on Thursday of last
week. The little lady’was running
down a hill when she lost control
and fell, rolling over several times-
An auto accident occurred on the
Main St. at the Metropolitan Hotel
Tuesday afternoon w.lzen a car
driven by Mr. John- Herdman, of Us
borne, while in the acts of crossing
the street, was struck by a car bear
ing a New Brunswick license, going
south. Mr Herdman’s* car was
struck broadside and the running
board and fender damaged. No one
was hurt.
