Relatives here received word of
the death of Mrs. Edward Gahan,
of Wheatley, who died in London
on Wednesday of last week, at the
age of 40 years, after an illness of
several months. .The circumstances
surrounding her death are indeed
sad, she having given birth to a little
daughter about five months ago%nd
after an apparently complete recov
ery she was taken down again and
had since been in very poor health.
Mrs- Gahan was a daughter of the
late William Traquair, and for many

respected by a large circle of friends.
Besides the husband she Is survived
by a five month’s old daughter* also

Green, of Rainy Rivet. Mrs. Green
previous to her marriage was Miss
Margaret McTavish and for “many
years resided in Wingham before
making her home In Rainy River.
She is the only surviving member df
a large family and has not been
East for fourteen years, it was there-
fofe, especially fitting that het many
friends in this part of Ontario should
honor her and her husband in this
way. A large number of Mr, Green’s
Relatives were' also present to join
Iti the celebration.
