Yelland. Mrs. S. Parsons and Miss A Yel­ land left Tuesday for a trip through the West. Miss Reta Rowe is visiting ‘with her friend, Mrs. McCoombs, of El- ginfield. Messrs. Lyle and Ray Fanson, of Windsor, are holidaying with rela­ tives in town. Mr. John Smith, of Detroit, spent a few days at the home of Mr, Chas. Box, of Stephen. Mrs. Geo. Anderson and Miss Thelma Boone left Wednesday to visit in Detroit. Miss Florence Harvey, of Strath- roy, is spending her holidays with relatives in town. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Smallaconibe and family, of Detroit, visited in Exeter on Saturday. Mr. Reg. Parsons, of Erieau, is spending the holidays with his father Mr. Sam’l Parsons. Mr. Ellis Tapp, of Parkhill, spent the holiday with his parents, Mr. and .Mrs. Rd. Tapp. Mr. and Mrs. AV. H. Wood and family, of Usborne motored to Tor­ onto for the holidays. Miss Smale, of Simcoe, was the guest of Dr. A, R. and Miss Kins­ man over the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Stewart, of Windsor, spent the holidays with Mr. and Mrs. Ted. Harness. Mr. and Mrs. Alex. Gillies and son Robt., of Niagara Falls, motored to Exeter on the First visiting with their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Heideman and daughter Betty, of Toronto, visited with Mr. and Mrs. E. Heideman over the holidays. The executive of the Exeter Dis­ trict Plowmen’s Association met Sat­ urday evening and decided on Oct.. 2 6th as the date for the plowing match.
