Mrs. Harry Burns and son, of Toronto, are visiting the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sand­ ers. Mr. Chas. Acheson has returned to London after holidaying with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Aches­ on. Dr. and Mrs. Case of Dungannon, visited the former’s brother, Mr. P. Case, and sister, Mrs. McTaggart over Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Gardiner and Miss Ida Cottel have returned home after spending several days in De­ troit and Windsor. Mrs. H. C. Clarke, who has been ill in Victoria Hospital, London was brought home last week. Mrs. Clarke is in very poor health’. Mrs. C. R. Howard sang a solo in the Main St. United church on Sun­ day evening that was greatly en­ joyed by the congregation. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Lawson, of town, and Dr. and Mrs. Orme, of Crediton motored to Windsor and Detroit for Sunday and Monday. Mr. E. French, of the French Bakery, Toronto, accompanied by Mrs. French, spent the week-end visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Follick. Rev. Jas. Foote has been ing the General Assembly Presbyterian churclr, which has been meeting in Stratford during the past few days. Miss Mildred Harvey, who recent­ ly underwent an operation at Vic­ toria Hospital, London, for antrum trouble, returned home last week and is now able to be out. “Paddy” a brown water spaniel belonging to Mr. Ulric Snell was run over by an auto passing through town one day last week and died shortly afterwards. Mr. Frank Taylor was called to Elkton, Mich., on Thursday of last week owing to the death of his brother, Charles. The deceased was a former resident of Crediton. Mr. Benson Tuckey, of London, spent the week-end with his parents Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Tuckey. Little Miss Vivian Elliott, who spent a few deys in London, returned with him. Mr. R. E. Davis has returned to his duties with the Canadian Bank of Commerce at Windsor, after holi­ daying with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Davis* Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Quance and son Clifford and Mrs. Wm. Abbott, motored to Goderich Tuesday morn­ ing and took the “Greyhound” ex­ cursion to Detroit for a few days. Mr. Chas. Hodgert, of the Bank of Montreal staff is on his holidays and is spending a few days in De­ troit. His place at the bank is be­ ing taken by Miss Marion Woods. Mr, Lome Brimacombe, and Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Brimacombe motored over from Windsor, and spent the week-end in town. Their mother. Mrs. Wm. Brimacombe, who has been visiting them in Windsor, ro turned home with them. Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Stanbury are attending* convocation of Toronto University where their son Stuart Is having conferred on him his Bach‘ elor of Arts Degree. The ser­ vices next Sunday will be held in the afternoon and the change will he made the following Sunday.
