Thursday, December 3 at the
Ball and Mutch funeral home for
Annie Elizabeth Stevens, beloved
wife of Harvey Ashton, Victoria
Street, Clinton.
Pall-bearers were Don Hanley,
Harold Frei-nee, Len Adman, Roy
Easom, Jack Smith and Bert
Lyon. Plower-bearers were Keith
Pethick, Robert Stevens, Ron
Smith, Reg Smith, Bill Ashton
and Fred Ashton, Interment was
in Clinton Cemetery:
Born in leullett Township on
September 18; 1906, she was a
daughter of the late Daniel and
Jane Stevens. She married Harv-
ey Everett Ashton on June 20,
1931, and lived here in Clinton
ever since, with the exception of
two years in Blyth.
Mrs. Ashton was a member of
Wesley-Willis United Church:, She
had been ill for about a year, and
passed away in Clinton Public
Hospital on Monday, November
Surviving besides her husband
is one son, Kenneth, a teacher in
London Townsbip School Area No.
1; one daughter, Jeanne, at home;
three brothers, Ernest Stevens,
Walton; Tom and Alvin Stevens,
both of Hullett Township; one
sister, Mrs. Harold (Jean) Pe-
thick, Seaforth.
Attending the funeral were per-
sons from Waterloo, Stratford,
Sarnia, Goderich, Blyth and this
idistrict.
LEGION AUXILIARY WILL

The Ladies' Auxiliary to the
Canadian Legion will meet for a
potluck supper on Monday, De-
cember 14 at 7 p.m. in the Legion
Hall. The Christmas meeting will
follow the supper.
