NOTICE
Every nomination shall be in writing and state the name
residence and occupation of the candidate and the residence and
Occupation of the proposer and seconder and shall be signed by
the proposer and seconder, both of whom shall be municipal elec-
tors and present, and shall be filed with the returning officer
within one hour from the opening of the nomination meeting.
When a proposed candidate is not present, his nomination
paper shall not be valid unless there is evidence satisfactory to
the returning officer that he consents to be- so nominatd.

At the regular meeting on
Tuesday evening, the Clinton Ic.'in-
ette Clt1b voted 4200 to the new-
ly formed Clinton Retarded Child-
ren's Association. In connection
with the lansinen annual Christ-
mas toy PahiPaiigri„ the Klnettes
are busy Making 'stuffed toy ant,
mals, repairing and dressing used
dolls for. the needy children in the.
district,
'The club voted $25 toward the
purchase of new dolls, and their
repair work 'expenses, The ?Kin-
-ettes have adopted a. needy fam-ily again this year, and food and
clothing will be supplied.
The club is planning a bake
sale in the 'council chamber on

sent.

in the church parlour on Tues-
day evening, November 24 with 16
present, Roll call was answered
by . "Thoughts About Winter,"
Mrs. Les Pearson gave an inter-
esting talk on the work being
done with retarded children. Mrs.
Gordon Steepe and Mrs. Alvin
Wise were in charge of the meet-
ing and lunch was served by Mrs.
Wilfred Jervis and Mrs. Howard
Currie.

St. Paul's Anglican Parish Hall
on Wednesday afternoon last.

bazaar. The tea room was gay
with Christmas centrepieces on
each table.

sociation held their regular meet-
ing on Tuesday, November 24,
with a good attendance.
An invitation was accepted to
Weodherti at which time Wilfred
Glazier will be initiated in• the
Scarlet Degree,
Plans were made to hold their
annual Christmas party at the
next meeting, December S. Every-one is asked to bring a gift tied
with a one yard string and lunch.
Plans are in progress to hold a
dance in Blyth on. December 11.
Final plans were made for the
building fund dance to be held
this Friday night in the Legion Hall, ,
