Deep snow on November 25,
1914, is the memory of Mr. and
Mrs. James A. McGill (now of 45
Shipley Street) on their wedding
day. They went to London by
train for their honeymoon, first
driving to Belgrave in a horse-
drawn cutter, The Rev. T. H.
Farr, rector of Blyth and Bel-
grace Anglican Churches officiat-
ed at the wedding.
Mrs. McGill was Mary Ella
Nethery, daughter of the late
Mr, and Mrs. William Nethery,
East Wawanosh Township. She
was a member of Belgrave Angli-
can Church and was organist there
for seven years.
Mrs. McGill is a life member
of the Woman's Missionary So-
ciety and a past vice-president of

held in the church parlor on Mon-
day evening, November 16 at 8
p.m. Mrs. J. A. McKim will be
guest speaker.

Presbytery Meets in
Constance Church
The Centre Section of Huron
Presbytery's Women's Missionary
Society of the United Church of
Canada held its sectional conven-
tion in Constance United Church
with Mrs. R. McMichael, Walton,
presiding.
The afternoon session was at-
tended by delegates and members
of the auxiliaries from Bethel,
Burns', Brucefield, Clinton Ontario
Street, Clinton Wesley-Willis, Lon-
desboro, McKillop Duff's, Mon-
crieff, Seaforth, Varna, Walton
and Winthrop.
Mrs. Holland's, Aylmer, guest
speaker of the afternoon, present-
ed the current studies• and plans
leading to the unification of the
WMS and WA into one organiza-
tion, •thus co-ordinating women's
work in the church. Miss Baxter,
returned missionary from India,
was guest speaker at the evening
session, She showed colored slides
and gave enlightening facts re-
garding the training of young
Indian men and women for Chris-
tian service,
Two films, "Angola Awakes"
and "Face the Future", were
shown, giving a glimple of mis-
sionary work in Africa. Through
the medium of a record called
"Worship Service with Africans"
with Dr. Moorhouse as commen-
tator, a missionary greeting was
sent t.,) Christians in other parts
of 'the world, A splendid African
choir sang familiar hymns and
the listeners were invited to join
them in praise.
A musical number by the CGIT
of Winthrop was greatly enjoyed.
Mfrs. McVittie, Blyth, president of
Huron Presbytery's WMS, addres-
sed the meeting, expressing ap-
preciation of the group's co-opera-
tion, stressing the power of pray-
er, and looking forward to a year
of women united working for
Christ.
A delicious supper was served
by the ladies of Constance United
Church to those remaining for
the evening meeting.

Forty-Fifth Anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. James A, McGill were married 45
years ago, November 25 at the home of the bride's
parents, Mr, and Mrs. William Nethery, East Wawanosh.
They celebrated the important year last weekend at
their residence, 45 Shipley Street, with a family dinner.

Family Home To Help Celebrate
45th Wedding Day at McGill's
Huron Presbyterial Woman's Mis-
sionary Society. At present she
is supply secretary of Huron
Presbyterial Executive, an active
worker in all women's groups of
the church. and the Clinton. Ladies
Conservative Association. Her
hobbies are painting, music, and
needlework (quilts and crochet-
ing).
Mr. McGill was also born in
East Wawanosh, the son of the
late James and Susan McGill,
who were of Irish descent. He is
a woodworker by trade and a life
long faithful member first of the
Methodist and later of the United
Church. He was choir leader for
27 years at Westfield United
Church.
Mr. and Mrs. McGill moved to
Clinton in 1939 and Mr. McGill
joined the staff of Sherlock-
Manning Piano Co. Ltd., until his
retirement. He was until recent-
ly a member of the choir of the
Wesley-Willis United Church to
which he and his wife belong. He
served 35 years on the session of
both churches.
Mr. McGill enjoys woodwork-
ing as a hobby and has made
many beautiful pieces. In early
years he enjoyed fishing.
They have three sons, James
E. McGill, B.A„ M.A., Montreal;
Glen McGill, B.A., Brampton; Ed-
ward W. McGill, Bolton; two dau-
ghters, Mrs J. P. (Kathleen)
Munk, Brampton; Mrs. A. C.
(Helen) Kelly, Palo Alto, Calif.
They have eleven grandchild-
ren, Mary Jean, Montreal; Cam-
eron, twins jimmy and Carol Mc-
Gill, Brampton; Barbara and
Glenn, Bolton; Margo and Niels
Munk, Brampton; Paul, Karen
and Bruce Kelly, Calif.
A dinner on Saturday was at-
tended by all the family but those
in California and was held early
so that bad weather would not
interfere.
